Agile Coaching Lab Reflections - Week 3

This week has been normal so far. Nothing like last week. Feeling a little calmer.

We received feedback on our pitch. Great constructive feedback from my fellow cohort members. Stuff that I can really use. What a great place to practice and feel safe at the same time (thanks to everyone).

I really enjoyed our workshop this week.  Two things this stood out for me in the Tuesday workshop was GROW and AWE.  Easy to remember, and simple to put into practice. And I already have with some success. Yay!

'I see you. I hear you. And what you say matters to me' - active LISTENING and MIRRORING skills. This actually requires a lot more practice. It requires a lot of conscious effort. And I'm thankful that I get to practice this everyday (although this is all very consciously at the moment).

I also found the agile coaching dojo very useful . I got to know Rasha, a little more. After recording our coaching session, we had a chance to talk a little more. I found this relaxing and enjoyable.

The coaching session itself went well. As the coachee, hearing myself out loud, actually allowed me to sort through my thought process better and arrive at a satisfactory conclusion (myself).

As the coach, actively listening, noting keywords and phrases, and asking questions without 'guiding-the-conversation' was interesting. More things unfolded. And clearly 12 minutes (session) was not enough.

We learned a lot last week. But its all about practice-practice-practice now. Inspect, adapt and refine!
